Our Favourite Free Adobe Fonts
Hey friends! Happy February – for our first blog post of the month, we thought it would be fun to share some free fonts you can download from Adobe.
If you know anything about branding or design, you have probably heard that Adobe has collections of some of the best fonts out there.
Since the kind of fonts you use have the power to elevate your socials, website, and graphics, we thought we’d share some of our faves if you’re looking for some typography inspiration.
Before we dive in, we’ve got to mention that you will need a subscription to Adobe Creative Cloud in order to access these fonts for free. However, if you’re a student or teacher, you’ll be able to save some $$ through their education discount.
IvyPresto Display
If you’ve been following our studio for a while, you may recognize this font. IvyPresto was actually one of our main fonts before our brand refresh in January! Perfect for headings and large text, we love that this font comes with an extensive range of weights and sizes for all your typography needs.
Utopia
While the various fonts you can stumble upon through Adobe can come from different type foundries, Utopia was actually designed by Adobe Originals itself in 1989. A cool fact about this font is that it was inspired by other fonts that were designed in the 18th century. Coming with four different weights, Utopia is a great choice for marketing materials to book and newspaper text.
Soleil
You’re not just hearing it from us but from the designers of this font themselves, Soleil has a tranquil and fresh vibe to it that makes it perfect for clear text and headlines. Also, isn’t the name of this font just gorgeous?
Futura
Released in 1927 by Paul Renner, Futura is based on geometric shapes, especially circles! It is extremely symmetrical and also has clean and precise proportions ensuring that this font never goes out of style. It’s great for both display/heading and paragraph use!
Calluna
Chunky and assertive, this font combines modernism with an old style feel. Coming in eight different styles, this font is amazing for emphasis and larger text usage.
Whether you’re a fellow designer wanting to add more fonts to their type kit or an entrepreneur that’s curious about learning more about the options they have for typography, we hope you enjoyed reading today’s post!
