Fall Favourites – A Round Up of Products From Small Businesses We Swear By

Being a brand and web design studio means that we *literally* work to serve other brands and small businesses! One of the things we absolutely love about what we do is the fact that it’s easy for us to discover the most incredible brands and what they have to offer in the small biz space.

This week on the blog, we decided to ask Victoria what products she’s been loving from various women-owned businesses. She’s got a pretty sweet line-up of home goods, hair, make-up, and skincare products she thinks you’ll love as much as her.

If you’re ready to hear about these amazing goods in the mix and Victoria’s thoughts on them, keep on reading!

Side note: The brands with a “*” symbol next to its name are some of the incredible women-owned businesses we’ve had the honour of working with in the past. We wanted to clarify that none of these products are sponsored and that we are just sharing the genuine love we have for them!

Milk & Sugar Candle – Mala The Brand

I am obsessed with this yummy candle. The combination of vanilla, cinnamon + cream makes our studio smell ahh-mazing! We love the mission behind Mala – for every candle purchased, a tree is planted. We also love the fact that they are cruelty free, 100% vegan, and are made with a high quality blend of phthalate and paraben free fragrance and essential oils, so we don’t have to feel yucky and worry about harmful chemicals when we burn these in our space.

Clean Slate Cleansing Oil & Make-up Remover – K'pure*

I love this cleansing oil! It is so gentle and takes off my makeup so easily. It’s a non-toxic oil cleanser that cleanses my skin without stripping it of moisture and hydration. I love that K’pure’s natural skincare is handmade and uses organic, pure essential oils and phthalate free fragrance oils.

Dark Tortoise Crush Clip– Supercrush*

I am not ashamed to say I wear this almost every day while I work. It is so comfortable, unlike most clips on the market that give me headaches. It’s such high-quality and I can easily go from working in the studio with it, to going out with it because it elevates any outfit!

We love that Supercrush is owned by a mother-daughter duo. A bonus is that their products are eco-friendly, like this clip that uses cellulose acetate — a material derived from wood pulp and cotton fibres and is an eco-friendly alternative to traditional plastic.

Enrich Lip Balm – Skinfidence*

This is another staple in my everyday routine! This lip balm is sooo moisturizing and I love how smooth it goes on as it instantly melts on my lips. Like the other products mentioned, this lip balm is also made with all natural ingredients. We also love that it’s female owned by two friends!

Self Absorbed Dry Shampoo + Texture Spray – The Daily Hair Co.

When I started paying more attention to my health and my hormones, I really wanted to reduce the amount of toxic things I was using on a day to day basis and bringing into my home. I discovered this all natural dry shampoo by a local female-owned business, and I’ve officially made the switch and will never go back to a conventional brand!

Instead of synthetic perfumes, they’ve added high quality essential oils, and their low-cast tapioca powder formulation is amazing for absorbing the grease! As someone who used to wash their hair everyday, I am so impressed with how many days I can go now by just giving it a quick reset with this dry shampoo so that I no longer have to strip my hair of its natural oils.

We absolutely love sharing the wonderful ways women-led brands are changing things up for the better in their respective industries. Stay tuned on our Instagram and TikTok, where we’ll be sharing and reviewing more products from small businesses we truly love and support. And make sure you’re subscribed to our newsletter so that you don’t miss out on any branding and business action on our blog.

That’s all for now friends, thanks for stopping by!
